With the long weekend approaching, here’s what’s open and what’s closed in St. Thomas and Elgin County.
All municipal buildings, offices, as well as banks will be closed on Monday.
Walmart, the Real Canadian Superstore, Foodland, FreshCo, Food Basics, Metro and M&M Food Market will be closed on Monday, however the Real Canadian Superstore’s garden centre will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Canadale Nurseries will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including Monday.
Talbotville Berry Farm will be operating their takeout window this long weekend, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Briwood Farm Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and Shoppers Drug mart at 410 Talbot Street will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Beer Store and LCBO will be closed on Victoria Day Monday but will be open during regular hours on Saturday and Sunday.
As a result of Premier Doug Ford’s announcement on Thursday, the following outdoor recreational amenities may open as of Saturday, May 22nd.

- Tennis, platform tennis, table tennis and pickleball courts.
- Basketball courts.
- BMX parks.
- Skate parks.
- Golf courses and driving ranges.
- Frisbee golf locations.
- Cycling tracks and bike trails.
- Horse riding facilities.
- Shooting ranges, including those operated by rod and gun clubs.
- Ice rinks.
- Tobogganing hills.
- Snowmobile, cross country ski, dog sledding, ice skating and snow shoe trails.
- Playgrounds.
- Portions of parks or recreational areas containing outdoor fitness equipment.
- Archery ranges.
- Boat and watercraft launches.
- Lawn game courts, including lawn bowling, bocce and croquet courts
