A 62 year old St. Thomas man is facing multiple assault charges after striking his roomate several times with a machete Sunday night.
St. Thomas Police report that the disturbance took place after an argument between the suspect and his 60 year old roommate turned violent.
Police say the roommate was able to escape unharmed and stayed with a friend Sunday night before contacting police to report the incident on Monday.
As a result, the 62 year old man was arrested and charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm.
He was later released on an Undertaking with a court date.
