This past Sunday, St. Thomas Police nabbed an 20 year old driver for going 103km/hr in a 60km/hr zone.
Under the new laws, the driver’s licence was immediately seized for 7 days, the vehicle was impounded for 14 days and the driver was issued a summons to court to answer to the charges.
On July 1st, the stunt driving laws changed and now drivers speeding over 40km/hr on a road with a posted speed limit of 80km/hr or below could now face a stunt driving charge, a 30-day license suspension and 14-day vehicle impoundment.
