An arrest and 3 additional chargers were most likely not a part of the plan when a 35 year old St. Thomas man showed up to the police station after accidentally dialing 911 Tuesday evening.
Police report that the male accidentally activated 911 on his cell phone and when dispatch made voice contact with the phone owner and were advised there was no emergency, he was asked to provide in-person confirmation.
The male arrived at the Colin McGregor Justice Building a short time later, driving a vehicle with a woman in the passenger seat.
Officers then recognized the man as being wanted on a warrant, a suspended driver and currently at large on conditions not to associate or communicate with said female.
As a result, he was taken into custody and charged with Breach of Release Conditions x2 and Drive While Suspended.
He was held for a court appearance.
