The St. Thomas and District Chamber of Commerce is joining chambers and businesses across the country in helping to increase vaccine confidence in our local communities.
Chamber CEO Paul Jenkins says the “This is Our Shot” campaign helps to educate the community on the benefits the vaccine has.
Because as Jenkins notes, the vaccine is the key to getting back to some sense of normal.
Jenkins says the community has done an outstanding job in getting shots in arms, but with this campaign they hope to reach those who may have legtimate concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Jenkins thanks Southwestern Public Health for working alongside them to help get the positive messages about the vaccine out there.
The collaboration between the health unit, the chamber and local organizations and businesses have helped with the vaccine rollout immensely adds Jenkins.
Jenkins says the “This is Our Shot” campaign is the next step the St. Thomas and District Chamber of Commerce has taken, in addition to their free antigen testing kits program, to help protect the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Two videos featuring local businesses have been posted to the Chamber’s Facebook page, showcasing the importance of receiving your vaccine and can be viewed here and here.
