Tomorrow is your chance to help make a difference in our community by donating to help support our local food banks and lunch programs.
For the 3rd year in a row, 94.1 myFM has teamed up with a great group of local businesses to present the myFM and Elgin Roofing All Hands on Deck Food Drive.
myFM will be live on location at the Real Canadian Superstore in St. Thomas, Miller’s Your Independent Grocer in Aylmer and at Foodland in Port Stanley from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Samantha Wakefield, General Manager at 94.1 myFM explains the reasoning behind our back to school theme.
Wakefield says that in addition to accepting nonperishable food items and back to school snacks, we will once again be collecting Pass the Hat donations.
She adds that a day like this could not happen without the help of the community.
Along with our generous sponsors, the myFM team will be on site collecting donations for the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank, Destination Church’s Brown Bag Lunch Program, Eat 2 Learn, the Corner Cupboard in Aylmer and the Port Stanley Community Food Bank.
Last year, we were able to make the single largest one time donation to our area food banks and we can do that again with your help!
