High winds churning up Lake Erie over the weekend have led to poor drinking water quality in St. Thomas, Central Elgin and Malahide.
Residents will notice a slight odour and discolouration with tap water, although municipal staff assure there are no safety concerns associated with this.
Wave action in Lake Erie has resulted in greater water turnover than normal resulting in the poor water quality from the treatment plant located east of Port Stanley.
It is anticipated the water quality issue will be resolved over the next couple of days.
