For the first time this academic year, the Thames Valley District School Board is reporting active COVID-19 cases at 3 schools across St. Thomas and Elgin.
The TVDSB says that Southwestern Public Health has identified 1 case of COVID-19 at Central Elgin Collegiate Institute, 1 at Parkside Collegiate Institute, and 2 at West Elgin Secondary School.
All of the schools remain open, with staff, students, parents and guardians of the school communities being notified of the cases.
It is worth noting that all the cases are coming out of secondary schools, where all staff and students are eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccination.
At this time, the London District Catholic School Board reports no active in both elementary and secondary schools.
