Southwestern Public Health celebrated an important milestone this week, as 80% of the eligible population across Elgin-Oxford-St. Thomas are now fully vaccinated.
Dr. Joyce Lock, Medical Officer of Health says it’s encouraging to see this vaccination update for the region.
At this point, SWPH is in line with provincial vaccination numbers, as 85.9% of Ontarians age 12+ have received at least one dose and 80.3% have received both.
This compared to locally, where 85.4% of residents age 12+ have received at least one dose and 80% now fully vaccinated.
