The province this morning is reporting 304 new COVID-19 cases, with four deaths.
Southwestern Public Health is reporting 14 new cases with 10 resolved.
The death toll remains at 90 since the pandemic began.
There are three new cases in St. Thomas and Aylmer and one in West Elgin.
There are 80 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 14 in Norwich, 12 in Tillsonburg, 11 in St. Thomas and Aylmer, eight in Woodstock, five in Bayham, SW Oxford and Ingersoll, four in West Elgin, two in Malahide and Zorra and a single case in East Zorra-Tavistock.
A total of 1,386 cases have been variants of concern with 558 confirmed cases of the Delta variant.
There are no institutional cases reported.
There are four hospitalizations at this time, with two in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 35.9 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
Fifty-one of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, with 17 of those under the age of 20.
The number of resolved cases is 4,364.
A total of 150,239 residents in the region have been fully immunized or 70.6 per cent.
There are 37.4 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 19.7 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 28.3 cases per 100,000 population and 146.8 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 144 tests Monday. The West Elgin Community Health Centre did 42 on Monday.
