St. Thomas residents are now able to leave leaf and yard waste out for collection.
The City of St. Thomas has announced that from now until November 19th, residents will be able to leave organic material in paper bags or bundles on the curb to be collected on their regular garbage days.
These collections are available during both green cart collection weeks as well as recycle weeks.
The city does encourage residents to mulch their leaves first and add them to their lawn or garden and then leave leftover or excess leaves out for collection.
Acceptable Material includes: Grass, leaves, weeds, plants and brush (no longer than 3 feet and no thicker than 2 inches in diameter)
