The Elgin Business Resource Centre is celebrating a milestone anniversary this year.
For 35 years, the EBRC has served Elgin County as a one-stop business resource, assisting over 10,000 clients and distributing over 1000 loans to help the development of sustainable businesses.
Kevin Jackson, General Manager of the EBRC notes how gratifying the work they do really is.
In total, the EBRC has distributed over $31,000,000 worth of loans to local businesses over its 35 years. Looking back on those 35 years, Jackson points to the current COVID-19 pandemic as a stand out time over the organizations existence.
Jackson notes that through the pandemic, he and his team stayed true to their mandate, and continued to see success in that.
Looking ahead to the future, Jackson says they hope to continue to do their best to support the businesses of Elgin County.
Jackson says the entrepreneurship across Elgin County continues to be strong and continues to grow, making them even more excited for what the future holds at the EBRC.
