A serious motorcycle collision that occurred in Courtland on Saturday sent a 59-year-old St. Thomas man to hospital with life-altering injuries.
Police report that around 1:40 p.m., a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided at an intersection on Highway 3, sending the 59-year-old St. Thomas man to hospital.
He was later air lifted by Ornge to a London area hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the pickup truck, an 82-year-old from Norwich Township, was sent to the hospital for pre-cautionary measures.
The investigation is ongoing.
Acting Sergeant Ed Sanchuk, said “The OPP would like to take this opportunity to thank the Good Samaritans that stopped to render aid. They made a very difficult situation just a little easier for everyone involved.”
