Janis Harris has agriculture in her blood through and through, and for that she has been named the myFM Kubota Woman Farmer of the Year.
After being raised in a farming family, Harris has stayed in that life and now runs Harris Flower Farm on Ron McNeil Line.
She says more and more women are pursuing ventures in agriculture and making a connection to their communities.
Harris says if she had one piece of advice for any woman starting out is to stick with it.
