It’s a treasured holiday tradition down at 94.1 myFm.
Launched almost 10 years ago, Project Poinsettia aims to bring some joy to long term care, senior, and retirement residents across Elgin County through the delivery of Poinsettias.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the way we make these deliveries has changed a bit, explains Dave Thomson, Senior Account Executive at 94.1 myFM.
Instead, our friends at First Student Transportation will be helping us deliver the Poinsettias to the front doors of 10 homes across Elgin County.
Thomson says that it is unfortunate that we wont be able to visit again this year, as for many of the residents, we are the only guests they see throughout the year.
He adds that myFM is so grateful to all of our sponsors for making Project Poinsettia possible, including Briwood Farm Market and Greens Market Bakery for supplying us with goodie bags and Family Flowers for helping us secure hundreds of Poinsettias each year.
