In the latest move to get vaccines in arms, Southwestern Public Health has relaunched its Same Day Vaccination List.
It entails gathering names of individuals eligible for the vaccine who can quickly get to a clinic when doses are available.
The health unit notes that when cancellations or no-shows occur throughout the day, the aim is to give those to individual waiting to get vaccinated to avoid wasting a dose.
Individuals will need to provide a name, contact information, date of birth and preferred location, as well as the days they are available to get themselves to a clinic within 30 minutes. Once they are on the list, SWPH will call on a first-come, first-served basis when doses become available as the week goes on.
If you don’t receive a call from SWPH, the form must be resubmitted each Monday for the upcoming week.
