It’s a message that is said year round, but is really driven home during the holidays – do not get behind the wheel while impaired.
Acting Sgt. with the OPP Ed Sanchuk says there are a lot of options for a safe ride home, including calling a cab or having a designated driver.
Sanchuk says roaming RIDE checks will be out in full force as they attempt to get impaired drivers off the roadway.
Make a plan for a sober ride home or spend the night so all members of the community can feel safe as we ring in the New Year this evening.
