Ontario students will return to school classrooms next week as planned.
Premier Doug Ford’s office tells The Canadian Press, in-person learning will resume on Monday, January 17th.
After delaying the return from the holiday break by over a week, the government moved to virtual learning until “at least” the 17th, amid widespread transmission of COVID-19’s Omicron variant.
Schools were shut and public-health measures were reinstated to stem the growing strain on the health system and COVID-related staff shortages across essential workforces.
