Premier Doug Ford says he expects there will be some positive news revealed soon about easing of restrictions put in place to curb the Omicron wave of the pandemic.
Ford told an Ottawa radio station Tuesday, that no one dislikes COVID-19 lockdowns more than he does and he believes there will be announcements this week about going back to lower levels of restrictions.
The province has currently shuttered movie theatres, banned indoor dining in restaurants, closed indoor sport and recreation facilities and limited retail businesses to 50 per cent capacity to try to slow rising COVID-19 hospital admissions.
These measures are said to remain in effect until at least January 26th.
