A 20 year old male from Belmont has been charged with impaired operation following a single vehicle collision early this morning.
The Middlesex County OPP were called to Westchester Road in Thames Centre Township around 4:41 a.m., where a screening device was utilized on the suspect.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment where further tests were administered.
As a result, 20 year old Brett Van Bommel has been charged with Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
The man is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in March to speak to the charges.
