Our local small retailers and restaurants continue to think outside the box as they deal with the fourth round of strict, provincially imposed pandemic restrictions, which were finally loosened Monday.
Ryan Mallough, Senior Director with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business says he’s impressed with how local restaurants, and even breweries, are have been engaging their regulars and new customers.
Mallough tells us that outside the box thinking has been a key during the pandemic.
He says that as these restrictions begin to ease across Ontario, he expects to see a large chunk of these initiatives sticking around.
Restaurants, bars, gyms, retailers and shopping malls can now operate at 50% capacity, with proof of vaccination required for most indoor settings.
