A flag was raised at St. Thomas city hall Tuesday morning to honour National Human Trafficking Awareness Day in Canada.
The 2nd annual flag raising, hosted by Victim Services Elgin saw local dignitaries and first responders come together to mark the day.
During the small event, Elgin-Middlesex-London MPP Jeff Yurek stressed Human Trafficking is not just a big city problem
MP Karen Vecchio shared the same sentiment, noting that as the Status of Women Chair, Human Trafficking is a file she works very closely with.
