Following a 2 year hiatus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tampon Tuesday is back at both Myrtle and Given Shop in St. Thomas.
The local initiative spearheaded by owner Shawn DeVree, sees the collection of menstrual and feminine hygiene products to support the most vulnerable in our community.
In honour of International Women’s Day taking place next month, anyone who visits either shop and makes a donation between now and March 8th, will receive $5 off their purchase that day.
DeVree notes that they accept all types of donations.
Although the initiative is called “Tampon Tuesday”, you can stop into either store, any day of the week to make a donation.
All donations this year will support the YWCA St. Thomas-Elgin.
DeVree does note that if any other social service agencies in the area are in immediate need of menstrual products, to please reach out to her.
