Little Monkey Work Shop is a small husband and wife team that creates unique apparel and gifts.
Tiffany had been doing t-shirts as a ‘side hustle’ for a few years, but mostly just made for friends and for her family of seven children! When covid hit, the business was still new but immediately started printing face shields and ear savers for donation to front line and other essential workers. Quickly Tiffany discovered she needed the help of her husband and their eldest son. With her husband laid off due to the pandemic the team decided around June 2020 to go ahead and make this a legitimate business.
Working with the Small Business Enterprise Centre was an incredible way to help them move forward with their plans. Doing the business boot camp and being provided with the Starter Company Plus grant allowed them to grow in ways they could only dream of previously. Little Monkey Work Shop took on a commercial space, moving out of the garage, launched a digital shop, and joined the St. Thomas Chamber of Commerce. They have even started doing custom branded items for small businesses.
The grant enabled them to make bulk purchases direct from the manufacture ultimately saving money and overcoming the supply chain challenges of the day.
Tiffany is excited to be working full-time in the family business with her husband and raising their kids with the understanding of working hard in a small family business.
