By the beginning of next week, Ontario will have removed current mask mandates in most indoor settings, including schools.
With a number of residents sharing their opinion on social media, we hit the streets of St. Thomas for reactions on the end of the mask mandate.
However the news of the lifting of mask mandates does come as a concern to those who already have to take the extra steps to avoid getting sick.
While we obviously ran into differing opinions, most people seemed to agree that the continued wearing of masks will come as a personal choice.
The province did announce that masking will still be necessary on public transit, in long-term care, retirement homes, other congregate settings, and healthcare settings until April 27th.
More details on the lifting of mask mandates can be found here.
