A Fog advisory is in effect for St. Thomas and Elgin County this morning.
Environment Canada notes, widespread fog has developed and areas of dense fog with near zero visibility are likely.
With temperatures near or just below the freezing mark, the fog may deposit ice on untreated surfaces. Some roads and sidewalks may become slippery as a result.
While conditions will improve through the morning, travel could be hazardous due to reduced visibility.
If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
