In their update from Monday, Southwestern Public Health reported at least 60 new COVID-19 cases since Friday with 81 resolved.
The death total remains at 153 since the pandemic began.
There were 19 new cases in St. Thomas, two in Aylmer, and one each in Bayham, Dutton-Dunwich, West Elgin and Central Elgin
The percent positivity rate in the region has climbed again to 15.2 %.
There are 203 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 56 in Woodstock, 52 in St. Thomas, 21 in Tillsonburg, 15 in Ingersoll, 11 in Aylmer, nine in Central Elgin, eight in Norwich, six in West Elgin and Zorra, four in Dutton-Dunwich, East Zorra-Tavistock and SW Oxford, three in Bayham, two in Blandford-Blenheim and one each in Malahide and Southwold.
There are 10 resident cases and three staff case at Chartwell Oxford Gardens in Woodstock.
There are six hospitalizations at this time, with two in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 31.0 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 11,313.
A total of 98,120 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 58.9 per cent.
There are 92.7 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 135.5 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 122.0 cases per 100,000 population and 132.6 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
