With Environment Canada advising significant rainfall is possible Wednesday, the Kettle Creek Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook.
Rain is forecast to be heavy at times and combined with frozen ground conditions may result in higher-than-normal water levels and flows and localized nuisance flooding in low-lying areas.
The authority reminds parents to use extreme care around all watercourses, flood plain areas, reservoirs and ponds as the banks can be very slippery, and the water is fast flowing and very cold.
The flood outlook will remain in effect until Friday.
