It was a case of catch and release, and then catch again for a 50 year old resident Saturday.
St. Thomas Police say the night began when they were called to a home on Princess Ave after an unknown male forced open the door to the residence, made his way to the bedroom, and laid down in the bed beside the homeowner.
Officers attended and located 50 year old Shawn Hurl of St. Thomas, who was arrested and charged with Mischief and Unlawfully in a Dwelling before being released with a future court date.
Less than two hours following Hurl’s release, police were called to an address on Elm Street for reports of an unwanted person. As police arrived, Hurl was seen leaving the address and while officers watched, the male crossed the street, kicked open a door to an office building and entered.
He was once again arrested without incident and transported to the police station where he was held in custody for court.
