World Wish Day returns tomorrow, and our local Pita Pit has teamed up with Make-A-Wish Canada in an effort to help create hope for children with critical illnesses.
The special day, which takes place annually on April 29th, celebrates the anniversary of the first wish ever granted.
General Manager of Pita Pit St. Thomas Justin Syrie explains that when they found out about the initiative, the team stepped up right away.
For the entire day, a donation of $1 from every pita sold will benefit Make-A-Wish Canada and the children across the country that are waiting for the opportunity to have their wish come true.
Syrie adds that new owner William Abel will be going the extra mile and matching all donations made by the community.
To support the cause, all you have to do is purchase a pita on Friday or make a donation in store.
Donations are being accepted until the end of day Friday.
