Southwestern Public Health reported at least 54 new COVID-19 cases since Monday with 78 resolved.
There were three new deaths, a female in her 90s and another female in her 50s linked to an outbreak at Woodingford Lodge in Ingersoll and an Elgin man in his 80s.
The death total is 161 since the pandemic began.
There are 18 new cases in St. Thomas, six in Central Elgin, two in Aylmer and one in Dutton-Dunwich.
The percent positivity rate in the region is 15.48%.
There are 368 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 122 in Woodstock, 110 in St. Thomas, 24 in Tillsonburg, 21 in Ingersoll, 15 in Aylmer, 14 in Central Elgin, 10 in Norwich and East Zorra-Tavistock, eight in Southwold, six in Bayham, West Elgin and Blandford-Blenheim, five in SW Oxford and Zorra, four in Dutton-Dunwich two in Malahide.
There are six resident and two staff cases at Extendicare in St. Thomas, 10 resident and four staff cases at Royal Oak Senior Living in St. Thomas, 33 resident and 12 staff cases at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Woodstock, 10 resident and three staff cases at Woodingford Lodge in Ingersoll, 15 resident and 10 staff cases at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock, four resident and one staff case at Seasons Retirement Home in St. Thomas, six resident cases and two staff cases at Langdon Retirement Home in Woodstock and five resident cases at Victoria Manor in Woodstock.
There are 11 hospitalizations at this time, with one in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 29.4 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 12,662.
A total of 100,387 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 53.6 per cent.
There are 168.1 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 176.3 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 258.2 cases per 100,000 population and 180.5 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
