Southwestern Public Health reported at least 62 new COVID-19 cases since Wednesday with 47 resolved.
There were two new deaths, an Oxford man in his 40s and an Oxford woman in her 70s linked to Victoria Manor outbreak. The death total is 164 since the pandemic began.
There are 14 new cases in St. Thomas, four in Aylmer and Central Elgin and one inDutton-Dunwich.
The percent positivity rate in the region is 15.24%.
There are 355 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 104 in Woodstock, 96 in St. Thomas, 38 in Tillsonburg, 30 in Central Elgin, 27 in East Zorra-Tavistock, 14 in Aylmer, 13 in Ingersoll, eight in Blandford-Blenheim, seven in SW Oxford, five in Norwich, four in West Elgin and Dutton-Dunwich, three in Bayham and two in Malahide.
There are 20 resident and 10 staff cases at Extendicare in Port Stanley, 1 resident case at Terrace Lodge in Aylmer, 10 resident and five staff cases at Royal Oak Senior Living in St. Thomas, 44 resident and 16 staff cases at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Woodstock, 10 resident and three staff cases at Woodingford Lodge in Ingersoll, 16 residents and 13 staff at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock, four resident and one staff case at Seasons Retirement Home in St. Thomas, 10 resident and two staff cases at Victoria Manor in Woodstock, four resident cases at Harvest Crossing Retirement Home in Tillsonburg, nine resident and four staff cases at Elgin Manor, five residents at Oxford Gardens Retirement Home, 19 resident and one staff case at Maples Home in Tavistock, and five patient and one staff case at Woodstock General Hospital.
There are seven hospitalizations at this time, with one in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 29.1 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 13,002.
A total of 100,521 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 53.6 per cent.
There are 162.2 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 150.6 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 225.3 cases per 100,000 population and 140.0 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
