A 25 year old female from Malahide has been charged following a collision Friday involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The Aylmer Police responded to the intersection of Talbot Street West and Elm Street where a 16 years old male was stuck while attempting to cross the road.
Police note that as the light turned green, the driver proceeded to turn left on to Talbot as the pedestrian attempted to cross the road. The 16 year old was then struck by the car, with the force of impact throwing the male against the windshield and causing it to crack.
The pedestrian sustained injuries to his arm and elbow, but was treated and released at the scene by EMS.
The driver of the vehicle, a 25 year old female from Malahide was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
