Southwestern Public Health shared some unsettling news on Monday as four suspected drug-related deaths were reported in the health unit’s coverage area in the first week of May.
While little information on the matter is known at this time, SWPH did confirm that two of those deaths occurred in St. Thomas.
The health unit is continuing to investigate and encourages individuals who take opiates or stimulants to carry a Naloxone kit and to not use these drugs alone.
