The first heat event of the season is here.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement as we are set to see hot and increasingly humid weather today and tomorrow.
Across St. Thomas-Elgin, temperatures will see a high of 30 over the next 2 days, with humidex values reaching 35.
Relief is expected to arrive on Wednesday, with a 60 percent chance of showers and a high of 23.
With the extreme heat expected, you are reminded to drink plenty of cool liquids before feeling thirsty; keep cool by dressing for the weather and spend most of your time in a cool place.
