Southwestern Public Health reported at least 30 new COVID-19 cases since Wednesday with 27 resolved.
The death total is 168 since the pandemic began.
Seven new cases were reported in St. Thomas, one each in Aylmer, West Elgin, Southwold and Dutton-Dunwich.
The percent positivity rate in the region is 8.43%.
There are 126 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 29 in St. Thomas and Woodstock, 20 in Ingersoll, 16 in Tillsonburg, six in Aylmer, five in West Elgin, four in SW Oxford and Norwich, three in Dutton-Dunwich, two in Bayham, Central Elgin and East Zorra-Tavistock and one each in Malahide, Southwold, Blandford-Blenheim and Zorra.
There are 63 resident and 21 staff cases at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Woodstock, nine resident and five staff cases at Elgin Manor, nine resident and seven staff cases at Woodingford Lodge in Ingersoll and five patient cases at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.
There are seven hospitalizations at this time, with two in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 28.7 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 13,589.
A total of 101,483 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 54.2 per cent.
There are 57.6 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 72.5 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 68.1 cases per 100,000 population and 72.3 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
