With the city experiencing issues relating to the theft and damage of property in Pinafore, the St. Thomas Police are asking the public to help protect our parks.
They note that the City of St. Thomas has had to recently cover roughly $20 thousand worth of repairs after senseless damage was done to property in Pinafore Park.
This includes signs being removed from their designated areas, benches being pried apart, and property being stolen.
They also note that portions of the playground have had to be shut down due to safety issues, after a number of slides were punctured.
While the STPS have Officers on Community Patrol in the park on a regular basis, they ask the public to please contact them if they witness anyone damaging property or any other suspicious activity in the area.
