A slew of charges have been laid against a 40 year old St. Thomas woman, after multiple purses and credit cards were reported as stolen.
On June 17th, St. Thomas Police were notified about a break and enter that occurred at a south end home, where a purse was stolen and some of the credit cards had been used at a downtown business.
Subsequently, a separate complaint was received regarding a purse being stolen in the downtown area, with multiple transactions being placed on credit cards from the purse.
Officers visited the associated businesses, and after viewing video were able to identify that the credit cards from both incidents were used by the same female who was known to Police.
As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old St. Thomas woman has been arrested and charged with break and enter, 10 counts of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card, 2 counts of Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5,000, and 2 counts of Failing to Comply with a release order.
The female was held for a court appearance.
