The Elgin County OPP, local fire and EMS were kept quite busy on Saturday, responding to three collisions involving motorcyclists in a less than five hour span.
The first incident took place at the intersection of Highway 3 and Culloden Road in Bayham around 11:21 a.m, where a motorcycle and SUV collided, ejecting the 31 year old driver. As a result, the motorcyclist was transported by Ornge to hospital, where they were treated for serious non-life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 12:34 p.m., crews responded to a single vehicle crash on John Wise Line address in Southwold, where it was determined that the driver of the motorcycle lost control after hitting the shoulder of the roadway. A 55-year-old, was subsequently ejected from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.
Then, just before 3:50 p.m., police, fire, and paramedics responded to a Talbot Line, Malahide Township address, where it was determined that a 51-year-old motorcycle driver collided with a motor vehicle at the intersection of Talbot Line and Springfield Road. The motorcycle driver suffered minor inures.
The investigation into these crashes continue, and further updates will be provided when they become available.
