The CRTC has ordered Rogers to respond to detailed questions and provide a comprehensive explanation regarding the national service outage millions of Canadians experienced last Friday.
Ian Scott, Chairperson and CEO of the CRTC says they are requesting a detailed account from Rogers as to “why” and “how” this happened, as well as what measures Rogers is putting in place to prevent future outages.
Rogers has until July 22 to provide its responses.
While little has been said in regards to the incident, yesterday the company did announce that customers will be credited the equivalent of 5 days of service as a result of the outage.
