This summer, both the Elgin County Library and St. Thomas Public Library are giving families the chance to bring literacy and the great outdoors together.
Thanks to the support of TD and their Summer Reading Club, residents can take part in the StoryWalk at the Elevated Park in St. Thomas and a number of locations across Elgin County.
Séanin Steele, Digital Services Librarian at Elgin County Library explains more about the unique opportunity for families.
With 10 library branches spanning Elgin County, two different books are being shared across their locations.
Steele says this week is Aylmer’s turn, with plenty more stops planned for the summer.
Steele adds that programs like the StoryWalk and Summer Reading Club really help to keep children exposed to learning during the summer.
The Elgin County Library will be sharing the stories, “I Feel Like a Fox” by Danielle Daniel and “I am Scary” by Elise Gravel. You can also find “I am Scary” at the Elevated Park in St. Thomas.
