She has been a stalwart in the promotion of Elgin county, particularly the rural way of life she is so proud of.
That ambassadorship has resulted in Delany Leitch being named the county’s Business Enterprise Facilitator, a new economic position, confirmed Carolyn Krahn, interim manager Elgin County Economic Development & Tourism.
The appointment was announced earlier this month.
Up until February of this year, Leitch was executive assistant to Elgin-Middlesex-London MPP Jeff Yurek.
A position that primed her for her new posting, working directly with county business owners.
Leitch has wasted little time becoming acclimatized in her new role. Already she is knocking on doors and visiting business owners as a supportive resource during this critical period of economic recovery.
Leitch stresses she is excited to support Elgin county businesses as they bounce back from more than two years of pandemic impacts.
It’s a matter of staying in close contact and helping where she can with resources and financial opportunities, advises Leitch.
A key element of the new position is promoting the tourism sector in Elgin.
Krahn adds the position is all about being out in the community and meeting with local business owners. In short, a focus on engaging with people and businesses across Elgin county.
