Eastbound traffic on the 401 was reduced to one lane for most of Thursday morning after a cyclist was struck and killed on the highway at Col. Talbot Road.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and the motorist was found further along the highway and arrested without incident.
The name of the cyclist is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
