When vandals target a community, it has an impact.
That was Constable Ed Sanchuk, who notes the OPP has seen a rise mischief and vandalism incidents.
One of the most common signs of vandalism they report to is graffiti.
These acts of vandalism can lower a community’s moral, but there are also times when these incidents turn dangerous.
While scratched up cars and smashed windows are unfortunate to deal with, when individuals remove items such as road signs, it can have tragic consequences.
In short, Sanchuk says we need the community to work together.
He reminds that if you do witness a crime in progress, don’t hesitate to call 911.
