A new self guided tour highlighting the untold stories of St. Thomas is set to launch this Saturday with a special event at the Horton Farmers Market.
The Tales of Talbot Street will allow residents and visitors to the Railway City, the chance to see a whole new side of St. Thomas.
While it’s meant to be navigated at your own pace, Megan Pickersgill Manager at Railway City Tourism notes that at the launch, individuals can participate in a guided tour for one day only.
And attendees will be in good hands as some of St. Thomas’ local historians will be leading the way.
As far as how the idea for the new tour came about, Pickersgill notes that is a story in its self.
She adds that there will be plenty of activities to participate in regardless if you were able to sign up for a guided tour.
And it’s perfect for the entire family!
The fun kicks off around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 10th at the Horton Farmers Market.
For those hoping to take part in the guided portion of the tour, you must register online. At this time, both the 1 and 2 p.m. sessions are full, with room still available at 3 p.m.
More details can be found on the event page and a link to the tour map can be found on the tourism website.
