Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre on Wednesday announced his shadow cabinet.
These are the MPs chosen to go head-to-head with Liberal government ministers on certain files.
Elgin-Middlesex-London MP Karen Vecchio remains in her post as Shadow Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth.
In November of last year, then party leader Erin O’Toole announced Vecchio would fill that position.
She is no stranger to the portfolio, having served as Shadow Minister for Women and Gender Equality in 2019 and 2020.
She had spent the previous four years serving on the Status of Women Committee as both a member and as the chair.
Prior to that she was the Shadow Minister for Families, Children and Social Development.
An ongoing priority for Vecchio is dealing with human trafficking, particularly along the Hwy. 401 corridor and ensuring women, youth and LGBTQ2+ individuals have strong representation.
