This is small business week, a national celebration of Canadian entrepreneurs.
Today myFM and the Small Business Enterprise Centre salutes Simply Pure Water. Since it’s inception in 2000, Simply Pure Water has been providing top-notch water treatment and drinking water solutions for St. Thomas and surrounding areas.
In 2019, Chris Patriquin and his wife Jame purchased the business from the original owners. Chris is a big believer – as a small business owner – in supporting the community.
Chris and Jame have continued the tradition of providing superior products and services with a focus on maintaining and developing long-term relationships in the community.
Patriquin stresses the key is adapting to the changing business environment while supporting other small businesses.
Through their business, Simply Pure Water has diverted nearly 37 million plastic bottles from landfill. Patriquin says this is something as a society we can improve on.
Last year, Chris & Jame also opened their new Canadian-Sourced Zero-Waste Refill Station where you can refill multiple household items such as shampoo, dish soap, laundry detergent and much more without having to buy a new bottle every time. You are asked to bring your own bottles to fill up, or they have refillable bottles available on site.
To celebrate the one year anniversary of the opening of their Zero-Waste Refill Station, they are hosting an open house this Saturday (October 22) from 9am-2pm.
Two weeks ago, Chris & Jame were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Bridges to Better Business small business awards.
myFM’s Small Business Week profiles are brought to you by the Small Business Enterprise Centre.
