It’s a case of doing the right thing but perhaps at the wrong time.
St. Thomas Police arrested a 30-year-old Aylmer woman after she drove to the police station to report a minor collision. Officers suspected the woman was impaired by alcohol and administered a roadside screening. She registered a fail and was taken into custody without incident.
Further testing indicated she had almost one and a half times the legal limit of alcohol in her system. She was charged with operation while impaired and released with future court date.
An open bottle of vodka was seized from the vehicle.
