It’s been a vital Christmas tradition for more than 4 decades.
And Christmas Care launched this year’s campaign Friday at Memorial Arena in St. Thomas.
Richard Auckland has the details for those wishing to register or to drop off donations.
Christmas Care was launched in 1980 to assist lower-income individuals and families with food and gift hampers to make Christmas Day complete.
Although it has been in operation for more than 40 years, there is no indication the need for Christmas Care is diminishing.
Auckland made that observation Friday at the launch of this year’s campaign.
If you would like to donate to the campaign but you are uncertain as to what is needed, Auckland says why not contribute money or gift cards.
For those who have food items or toys, Auckland explains how best to do that.
