A continued break at the pumps for motorists and businesses.
The province is proposing to extend the current gas and diesel tax rate cuts until the end of 2023. The cuts were to expire at the end of this year.
This spring the government introduced a 5.7 cents per litre cut on the gas tax and 5.3 cents per litre on the diesel tax.
If the legislation passes, the government says that the average Ontario household will save almost $200 between July 1st of this year and the end of next year.
